Targeted Investments into Growth Opportunities
Due to the significant impact of the global financial crisis, Triumph International temporarily decreased its total investments from CHF 144 million in 2008 by roughly two thirds to CHF 53 million in 2009. Allocation focus was on proven strategic growth markets and on improvements in infrastructure, ensuring timely deliveries and optimizing Triumph International’s vertical integration processes.

Investments into innovation development and other key business drivers were also continued in order to strengthen the brands’ impact in the market and increase demand. The new brand and communication strategies both for Triumph and sloggi as well as highly innovative product concepts like brand Triumph’s successful shape segment are expected to deliver additional turnover in the current year.

Selective Development in the Retail Area
In 2009, the company’s branded retail business was further strengthened, catering to ever changing consumer trends and establishing a strong brand presence of Triumph across all markets. Today, there is a total of 1,650 Triumph Stores, including owned and operated, franchise and partner stores. Locations include high streets and malls both in metropolis and medium-sized cities.
