Tied second place: With Robust metal, soft cotton and wool, Karin Brettmeister provided a personal touch in her design "the time" based on her experiences as a child where her father worked in a metal workshop. Even though the colours are darker and seem more masculine, her metal hourglass bodice also provided a feminine shape.
Tied second place: This "Audacious" creation inspired by Amelia Earhart an iconic female pilot, earned second place for a perfectly executed, colourful and clean design. Its designer Johanna Löhning, was able to incorporate aspects of architecture from Earhart’s plane, including a parachute, fine lines and a dynamic body thanks to mesh in the stomach area.
Third place: Ordinary Lace was something Nelson Lisboa wanted to avoid so instead he created a jelly like silicone to create a lace-like pattern. "Cover" allows the wearer to feel as if they are wearing a second skin, a comfortable protective shield.
Germany seems to be well prepared for the finals in Berlin, good luck to all participants!
