TRIUMPH IS BACK WITH THE COLOUR ME PRETTY LINGERIE FASHION EXTRAVAGANZA IN INDIA

 

For the Third time in a row, Triumph International India presented this year’s fashion extravaganza to showcase their theme for the year 2011 – Colour Me Pretty. This is the biggest launch for India till date. This ‘T Shirt Bra concept’ kicks off Triumph’s entry into the world of colourful lingerie.

 

Conceptualized by Thorsten Allenstein, Managing Director-India & Sri Lanka, and directed and choreographed by the ace Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan; the duo returns to create sheer magic and an aura of fantasy. The high fashion, red carpet event themed in shades of pink included never seen before elements in décor and lighting. Not to be missed were the colours on the stage and luxurious lounge seating all perfectly planned and orchestrated by the talented art director Omung Kumar Bhandula. Make up was by M.A.C cosmetics, styling by Aki Narula and hair by Sangeeta Hegde. The event was produced & managed by IM Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The show was a visual spectacular with the who’s who of the fashion and retail industry and Bollywood present in attendance. Guests mingled at the celebrity lounge to enjoy the refreshing beer and moved onto the lavish food spread by the Grand Hyatt on Jan 20, 2011.

125 Years of Celebrating Women

 

The Triumph Inspiration Award 2011 honours a long tradition in exceptional lingerie and shapewear craftsmanship

 

Triumph, the innovator in all things lingerie and shapewear, challenges young fashion students from around the globe to let their creativity soar with the fourth-consecutive Triumph Inspiration Award. This year – with 37 participating countries – the competition is bigger, more diverse and hotter than ever.

 

2011 also marks a unique moment for Triumph, as the company has reached its 125th anniversary. With two special events converging, the TIA 2011 theme was born! Triumph Global Brand Manager Suzanne McKenna explains: “Throughout our long history, Triumph has been celebrating women – always dedicated to creating alluring lingerie and fashionable shapewear that looks and feels fabulous and brings out the best in a woman. So, in this milestone year, we are inviting the young designers in the contest to explore their personal interpretation of the theme ‘125 Years of Celebrating Women.’”

 

National competitions: Contestants present their lingerie interpretations of “125 Years of Celebrating Women” to a national panel of fashion and design experts in their home countries. 37 winners move on to the international grand final in Berlin – a spectacular staged show that will take place on the opening night of the city’s July Fashion Week.

 

Before the finale takes place, voters across the globe can view and vote for their favourite pieces and finalists at www.triumph-inspiration-award.com. The online winner enters the grand finale with a point in his or her favour.

 

The grand final: Finalists are judged by renowned figures of fashion, design and media, whose names are yet to be announced. Supermodel Helena Christensen, photographer, publisher and film director Rankin, British designer Matthew Williamson and actress and singer Karen Mok were among last year’s prominent jury members.

 

The Triumph Inspiration Award offers young designers major jump-starts to their careers. Not only does the winner receive a €15,000 prize but he or she also works together with the Triumph design team to develop his or her showpiece into a commercial garment with the help of Triumph’s design team. Last year’s winning design, “Morphology” by Nikolay Bojilov of Bulgaria, will go on sale in July 2011 as a limited-edition item at select Triumph and other retail stores worldwide. Second and third place winners receive, respectively, €10,000 and €5,000 prizes.

Triumph is thrilled to be partnering with London based and award-winning fashion label Felder Felder for its A/W 2010 show at London Fashion Week. With a breathbreaking fashion show on February, 19th the designer´s duo revealed their stunning new collection called ‘In the valley of the shadow’. Felder Felder incorporated Triumph shaping lingerie - bras, briefs, bodies - into their new AW collection beautifully customized with leather ruffles, tiny crystals for an ‘icicle’ effect – making them a memoriable part of their collection.
