The Goddess Club
The TIA National Finals for Sri Lanka was worked off in grand style on the 9th of June 2012 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
Eight finalists presented their designs of “Dragons and Butterflies” to a eminent panel of fashion and design experts in Sri Lanka which included Ms. Otara Gunawardena, Ms. Natasha Rathnayake, Ms. Ramani Fernando, Ms. Rosita Wickramasinghe and Mr. Michael Wijesuriya in the midst of a renowned audience in the fashion and apparel industry along with the media.
The finalists were; Dilki Weerasinghe, Melanie Grey, Nethmi Rajapaksa, Senuri Weerawarna, Sheshadri Nithyananthan, Veena Jayakody and Vishan Gunawardena, all students of the Academy of Design.
The contestants were judged under the following criteria;
- Innovative and creative interpretation of the theme
- Individuality and uniqueness
- Aesthetics
- Concept
- Quality in design and execution
- Presentation
The fifth Triumph Inspiration Award, the industry’s leading design contest in lingerie will take place in Shanghai under the theme “Dragons and Butterflies”, as quintessential Chinese symbols that represent opposing elements, students from 31 participating countries are challenged to present a unique showpiece for the Grand Finale.

Launched in 2008 internationally, the Triumph Inspiration Award is an annual contest that recruits design student from around the globe to create unique lingerie showpieces that draw out the best of their artistic vision.
The TIA Award aims to give creative young students a glimpse into the world of lingerie, encouraging their talents, stretching their capabilities and honing their skills. Triumph inspires young designers who will, in turn, inspire those that come after them.

Triumph, one of the world’s leading lingerie and shapewear brands, challenges young students from all over the world with the fifth Triumph Inspiration Award, the industry’s leading design contest in lingerie. The Semi Final round for all Sri Lankan participants was held on the 30th of April 2012. The national finals will be held during the month of May in the presence of a renowned jury of fashion, design and media.
Triumph International Lanka, is geared to bring out the best in the fashion and designing sector in Sri Lanka by bringing together students of The Academy of Design to display their talents and artistic vision through conceptualized unique lingerie showpiece for the year’s theme which will be “Dragons and Butterflies”
Under the theme “Dragons and Butterflies”, as quintessential Chinese symbols that represent opposing elements, these eight finalists are challenged to create a unique showpiece which resembles the beauty and mystery of the theme.
The eight finalists are in the stage of developing and fabricating their unique piece of work which resembles the collaboration of the Dragon and the Butterfly. First the participants present their designs to a national panel of fashion and design experts in Sri Lanka, whose names are yet to be announced. This will be collaboratively conducted by Triumph, MAS Design Studio and the Academy of Design.
The national winner will go on a journey to Shanghai in October 2012 for the International Grand Final to compete against 31 contestants during a fashion show and event attended by world known celebrities, international press and Triumph trade partners.

Triumph International Lanka Pvt Ltd. officially launched its latest collection of T-shirt bra’s on the 17th of September 2011 at the Crescat Boulevard. The new collection is described by fashion pundits as totally gorgeous and super-sexy, and is meant to be the perfect accompaniment to all the latest catwalk trends.
At the launch Triumph introduced the 4 T-Shirt Bra styles in beautiful feline Leopard prints which constitute the “Wild and Sexy” collection that offers the latest fashion fun. This captivating collection delivers a playful, fresh feel giving modern women a new kind of confidence and bringing more fun to fashion through a sexy stand-out print.
These T-Shirt Bras are available in two Leopard prints. T-Shirt Bra 3 WHU is a wired half cup versatile bra for everyday use. The store has undergone a complete transformation with the entire interior and fixtures replaced in line with Triumph International Global store design standards, thus giving Crescat shoppers a truly world class retail environment to shop in.

The Triumph Majestic City store which occupies a prominent ground floor location near the Galle Rd entrance is 950 sq feet in size has been in existence since 1995. It is Triumph Sri Lanka’s best performing store.
The store has undergone a complete transformation with the entire interior and fixtures replaced in line with Triumph International Global store template, thus giving Sri Lankan consumers a truly world class retail environment to shop in.
The new store was declared open by guest of honor and renowned fashion designer/entrepreneur, Ms. Linda Speldewinde and General Manager of Triumph Sri Lanka, Mr. Shalindra Fernando, on the 10th of May at 4 PM. Triumph Goddess Circle members and other invitees were also present.
Speaking at the opening Mr. Fernando commented, “We are very happy with the new design of the MC store. It is entirely in line with Triumph global standards is single mindedly focused on delivering the ultimate shopping experience to our customers.”
The fit on rooms were singled out by Mr. Fernando as a key highlight. Along with the re-launch of store, Triumph has also revamped the costume worn by its sales girls. The costume is a smart black blouse and trouser kit with a Triumph red sash worn at the waist.
