Company Annual Financial Statement
Triumph International, the worldwide lingerie and clothing manufacturer, whose headquaters are in Zurzach, Switzerland, achieved a consolidated turnover of 2.4 billion Swiss Francs in the year 2002.
The decrease of 4.6% turnover compared to 2001 is exclusively attributed to exchange differences. Based on the same currency exchange rates turnover increased by 1.3% compared to last year.
Consequently Triumph International has been able to maintain its hold on the clothing market despite the difficult trading position worldwide. Triumph International attributes its success as a worldwide active manufacturer to its strong brands: Triumph, Sloggi, Bee Dees, Valisere and HOM.
Japan and Germany remain the countries with the highest turnovers within the globally active Group.
The amount of capital investment was 50.5 million Swiss Francs in the year 2002.
On December 31st 2002, Triumph International employed 37,273 people worldwide, which is 1,630 more than in December 2001.
Triumph International still ranks amongst the biggest garment producers in the world.
The Group predicts moderately increasing sales for the current business year 2003.
