Through this organization, the school of higher education Francisco Ferrer aims to equip its graduates with the skills required to fit smoothly and quickly in the labor market.
The primary purpose of the study "fashion designer" is to train multifaceted individuals, who are able to fill all the roles inherent to the business, from choosing the yarn and color, through the successive stages of drawing, to the realization of the prototype, not to mention the economics of the process. The department "fashion designer" also offers a double learning: ‘fashion’ that develops creativity and ‘designing’ that requires students to "think" about their creations, to examine the technical difficulties which are peculiar and to resolve them. Therefore, this dual program allows young talent to create, while remaining attentive to the criteria of "feasibility" and "profitability" considering the socioeconomic aspects of their productions.

Since September 2006 the department fashion and object design has developed into a very artistic and interesting workshop with a lot of motivated people. This workshop provides an art education where individuality and originality are central. The proportion theory of a figure is important for the student’s basis for his own designs to express a personal imagery. Within the program, we study style periods, color, materials and design of the object. The reform of this object to the human body is part of the quest to dress a person. Individual research, together with impulses from different disciplines provides a solid foundation as the basis for its own creation process. Throughout the entire program it remains a challenge to find your identity as a designer and to see fashion in a broader context.
It takes a lot of effort to study in the department of ‘fashion’. The structure begins with fashion-figure drawing. After that, students start experimenting with non-processed cotton and then head onto new fabric textures. Students then work around historical costumes, ethnic groups; theme’s that students pick themselves. Every piece of clothing is the result of in-depth research. At the end of the course we learn how to put together a portfolio that students can use to present to the fashion world that they are able to create their own collection independently. The absolute climax is the presentation of the finalised collection at an original location which ends in an overwhelming and highly appreciated fashion show with national appeal.

We offer an in-depth education with workshops, lectures, case studies and meetings with working people from the field. Our fashion school teaches designers a versatile, wide range of skills and produces knowledgeable students, who are able to understand and control the process of clothes manufacturing right the way through to sale. Our students can do this creatively in many different sectors, such as luxury goods, womenswear, menswear and childrens clothing as well as lingerie and accessories. The 3-year course includes all of these. Our school trains and creates designers, but it also gives them an introduction to clothes manufacturing knowledge. The designer is not a dressmaker, but needs to know the basic clothes making techniques and has to be able to communicate with those who are responsible for physically producing the collection. The students must also be able to make patterns and technical drawings. They are regularly visited by representatives in the fashion industry and therefore gain valuable insights to the world of fashion.
There are two different faculties in our school: light industry (clothing- and textile industry) and human (applied art). We have 800-1000 students every year in the two buildings of the school. The theoretical education is in the main building which was renovated 2 years ago, while the practical-professional and the artistic teaching is carried out in a 5-floor training workshop in a very modern and up-to-date environment. When they are not in the workshops they are able to experience practical teaching in different companies and private enterprises. We provide our students with sewing and modeling workshops equipped with modern basic and special machines as well as equipment and décor. The students also attend textile, drawing-, modeling- and designing workshops and have access to a computer science room for graphic design. The students also have access to a technical section with a high-tech computer manufacture preparing system which cuts to size and can produce ready-to-wear clothing.

The Faculty of Visual Arts and Design is the largest of the Art School Utrecht. It´s the place to be for visual arts and design talents. The claims for admission and demands during the study are very high. Only top talent is admitted to the faculty of visual arts and design. And that is not without reason. The faculty gives room to talent. Students set the perfect foundation for an autonomic artist profession or another artistic profession, with more than average changes on the labour market.
The Art School Utrecht does everything to prepare their students for the reality of the labour world. The Triumph Design Award is therefore the perfect example of how the students can prepare for an active practice of the profession.

The Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow is the oldest Polish institution of higher education in arts. It was founded in 1818 and originally functioned as the School of Drawing and Painting at the Department of Literature of the Jagiellonian University (founded in 1364). Having become an independent unit in 1873, it was renamed the School of Fine Arts and the position of its director was taken over by a distinguished Polish historical painter Jan Matejko (1838-1893), the present patron of the Academy, who significantly contributed to the formation of Krakow's artistic circles and educated many prominent graduates. After his death, an important role was played by the first rector, Julian Fałat, an outstanding landscape painter. Fałat became renowned as the reformer of the school, which then obtained the status of an institution of higher education and the name of the Academy of Fine Arts. In the period when the European art was predominated by Modernism, the Faculty of Painting had the most distinguished Polish artists as teachers; among them were Leon Wyczółkowski, Teodor Axentowicz, Stanisław Wyspiański, Jacek Malczewski, Jan Stanisławski and Józef Mehoffer, and later, after 1905, Józef Pankiewicz, Ferdynand Ruszczyc and Wojciech Weiss. At that time, the Academy became the main centre of Polish artistic life. After Poland regained independence (1918), the Paris Committee (later known as the Branch of the Krakow Academy in Paris) was organized and significantly contributed to the development and promotion of Polish art. Moreover, attempts were made to create separate faculties at the Academy. After World War II, Krakow was home to two institutions of higher education in arts. After their merger in 1950, the Academy of Visual Arts was established (since 1979, the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts). The school has continued to develop in terms of its structure, teaching staff, fields of study and methods of instruction. It has remained faithful to its splendid tradition and, at the same time, open to challenges and needs of the contemporary times. The Academy of Fine Arts teaches painters, sculptors, graphic artists, interior, industrial and fashion designers, as well as stage designers and art conservators of high standing; it effectively co-creates Polish culture and promotes it all over the world, wherever its numerous graduates or teachers and their works go.
The University of Arts in Poznań came into existence in July 2010 as a result of renaming of the existing Academy of Fine Arts. It is the biggest Polish institution of higher education in arts; it has six faculties, the largest of which is the Faculty of Architecture and Design.
The Faculty of Architecture and Design specializes in interior architecture, design and furniture design; for almost a decade, it has also offered such fields of study as Stage Design with the specialty of Fashion Design, as well as Architecture and Urbanism.
The structure of the Faculty is a system of distinctive Design Studios, whose syllabi are developed on the basis of knowledge and own professional experiences of practising, active designers. The Studios are highly diversified, and students are free to choose those that propose a syllabus which is of most interest to them, also on the basis of cooperation with different companies, among others, Hansgrohe Polska, Balma SA, Noti, Mikomax, Vox Industrie, Porcelana Chodzież SA, Sanitec Koło SA and many others.
The results of students’ work are shown at prestigious exhibitions; in 2009, the Faculty was the first institution of higher education from Poland to be invited to appear at Salone Satellite during the Milan Furniture Fair. For many years, the University has also developed cooperation with the Poznań International Fair, which hosts annual big exhibitions of students’ accomplishments and M.A. diploma works.
