“125 Years of Celebrating Women,” what better way to celebrate than to honour one of the strongest and most powerful women in history: Queen Elizabeth I, the Virgin Queen. I felt inspired by the Elizabethan Era and its very constructed and fitted silhouettes. I was especially fascinated with the emphasis of the hips of a woman through the crinoline and the pannier which in turn showed the s-curve of a women’s figure, the hourglass shape.
