Corsina and MARC O’POLO Advance Sustainable Lingerie with SUGARCUP® Enabled by I’m green bio-based

MARC O’POLO becomes the first European lingerie label to access SUGARCUP®, enabled by I’m green™ bio-based, through its partnership with Corsina and Triumph International

Corsina, a subsidiary of Triumph International and licensing partner of MARC O’POLO since 2022, will introduce SUGARCUP® into the MARC O’POLO Bodywear collection, with a market launch planned for 2027. Developed by Fullstride and enabled by I’m green™ bio-based, the solution brings next-generation material innovation into intimate apparel.

With this move, MARC O’POLO becomes the first European lingerie label to gain early access to SUGARCUP®, marking a step forward in embedding sustainability directly into product development.

Embedding Sustainability into Product Design

SUGARCUP®, made using I’m green™ bio-based derived from responsibly sourced sugarcane, offers a renewable alternative to fossil-based materials while maintaining the performance, comfort, and durability required in lingerie.

The collaboration reflects a shift from incremental improvements to material-led innovation—integrating sustainability at the design stage rather than as a downstream addition.

Material Innovation at Scale

SUGARCUP® enabled by I’m green™ bio-based supports the scalable integration of renewable materials into lingerie, delivering:

  • Performance and fit comparable to conventional solutions
  • Lightweight durability for everyday use
  • Reduced carbon footprint through renewable feedstock

“Consumers increasingly expect sustainability to be built into products,” said Caroline Levy, Fullstride. “SUGARCUP® shows bio-based materials can meet the technical demands of lingerie while offering a more responsible alternative.”

Driving Long-Term Transformation

The 2027 timeline reflects the technical and supply chain complexity of scaling innovation in intimate apparel. By announcing early, Corsina, MARC O’POLO, and partners signal a long-term commitment to material transition and cross-industry collaboration.

At the core of this development, I’m green™ bio-based enables the shift to renewable materials while meeting industry performance standards—supporting brands in advancing lower-impact product portfolios at scale.

“Progress happens when brands, innovators, and material partners move together,” said [Spokesperson, Braskem / I’m green™ bio-based]. “This collaboration demonstrates how sustainability can be embedded into product development in a credible and scalable way.”
