Triumph, RadiciGroup and The LYCRA Company Achieve Breakthrough in Circular Textile Innovation

We are happy to share an important milestone in our sustainability journey:

Together with RadiciGroup and The LYCRA Company, Triumph took part in a pioneering project that has demonstrated a new way to recycle mixed-fibre textiles — something the industry has struggled with for many years.

Until now, garments made with different fibres could not really be recycled and often became waste.
This project shows that these materials can be recovered and turned into new products — a significant step towards making circularity possible for stretch garments.

Our role in this collaboration was key in two areas:

  • We provided surplus fabric for the recycling tests
  • We then created the first prototype lingerie set (bra + brief) using the recycled yarns generated through the process

This prototype marks an important proof-of-concept and demonstrates that textile waste can be transformed into new garments.

Next, we will explore whether this innovation could evolve into a capsule collection, while continuing to assess requirements around identification, traceability and end-of-life pathways.
