Climate

We understand that climate change poses one of the most significant challenges of our time. At Triumph, we are committed to taking steps to mitigate our impact on the environment. Our climate strategy focuses on identifying, measuring, and minimizing the carbon footprint associated with our operations and supply chain.

We start our journey from our facilities, which are production and distribution centers. We are working to comprehend the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the Triumph value chain, specifically focusing on reducing carbon emissions.

To achieve this, we have identified and classified our GHG emissions into three scopes:

Scope 1 emissions

are direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by Triumph, such as company vehicles or on-site fuel combustion.

Scope 2 emissions

cover indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity and heating.

Scope 3 emissions

cover all other indirect emissions across the value chain, such as those from suppliers, employee travel, and product use.

Scope 1, 2, 3 GHG emissions (in tCO2e) in 2023

Scope 1: 2’601

1%

Scope 2: 15’359

5%

Scope 3: 293’387

94%

We’ve undertaken significant energy projects to address these emissions and reduce our environmental impact, including implementing solar power at our production and distribution centers. By integrating renewable energy solutions, we aim to reduce Scope 2 emissions by minimizing reliance on non-renewable electricity sources.

In 2021, our distribution center in Obernai, France, started the solar panel installation in the car parking area, covering 32 parking spaces with a surface of 516.3m2.

Building on this success, another distribution center in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, has successfully activated a state-of-the-art photovoltaic plant, marking a significant step in our sustainable energy efforts in 2023. The system spans 6’846 m² across four buildings and includes 3’422 modules, producing around 1’403’340 kWh of electricity annually—enough to power 350 homes.
